I love seeing what other people have done with their vans, so I thought I’d share here some of the modifications and accessories we have added to ours! Descriptions are before photos.
Interior: Blanket, Rug, Baskets, Towel Rack
Bench Blanket – Mexico blanket to keep the bench clean from crumbs
Rug – cloth/woven, covers almost the whole interior, super easy to shake out, soft and easily washed, I forget where I got it!
Baskets – from Target that fit perfectly under the bench, each boy has one
Hand Towel Rack – handy but more for ambiance, annoying if using the cabinet a lot:

Dash
Sticker – to cover up a big blemish, & Flower vase – it clips onto the vent so flowers actually dry out too quickly, I stopped using it:

Seat Covers
Inspired by some I saw on Etsy using yoga/Turkish towels:

Corkboard & Mirror
Corkboard from the Target dollar section, every trip I pin the map of our travels or campground to it (it has been really fun to keep them all pinned there and look back to past trips).
The mirror I bought on Ebay, our EVC actually did not come with a mirror on the cabinet so I thought I’d add a fancy one:

Closet Shelves
The van came with these from the past owner. The shelves are zip tied to the supports to keep them from sliding.

Small Cabinet Shelves
This is the small cabinet between the closet and sink. I added these with cut up closet shelving and frame hangers. This modification is awesome and allows so much more storage! Check out this post to see how I did it: Cabinet Shelves – Campervamily:

Clean the Interior Plastic
I had the best luck with Mr. Clean sponges, ArmorAll, Meyer’s Clean Day, and Meguiar’s cleaner (in the second pic, the left is before cleaning, the right is after – so satisfying!).

Upper Bed Guard Rail
I saw this idea somewhere and it was super easy to make a frame with pvc pipe and T joints, cover it with some extra drain sleeve and sew the ends, then mount it on quick-grip 6-inch clamps (affiliate link):

Front Seat Bassinet
I used pipes, joints, nylon webbing, garage hooks, and a few other things to make a frame for a pack-n-play bassinet inset that fit in the front seat/cab area. Check out this post to see how I did it: Front Seat Bassinet For A Eurovan Campervan – Campervamily
Insulated Thermal Window Covers
We got the Insulated Thermal Window Covers from Bus Depot and love them! Those grey things on the windows make a huge difference in the heat and the cold and light blocking and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! (Note: in the pic below we have a toddler mattress across the front two seats for a 3rd bed).
Awning, Screen, and Lights
Fiamma Awning – we got the Fiamma F45S 2.6M / 8’9″ x 6’6″ awning from EuroCampers mounted with GoWesty’s Awning Mounting Kit, this is our favorite “game-changer” modification by far!
Awning screen – from an old screen tent we had, it fits over the awning just about perfectly if you lower the front enough
Van skirt – you can’t see it but I made a long piece of cloth that goes between the wheels, ground, and bottom of the sliding door to keep mosquitos from coming into the awning from under the car. I sewed little rare earth magnets into the material to hold it on the van, but it’s not worked the best so I think I’ll try something with clips next.
Twinkle lights – it’s surprising how much light these provide!

Bug Screen
Bug screens – before we got the awning, I bought these simple bugscreens off Amazon and used rare earth magnets to attach them to the van. Unfortunately, they’re no longer even up on Amazon anymore or I’d share the link. You can search for “magnetic screen door” and there’s lots of options. I amazingly found these in 64×64 in. and 48×60 in. which fit the sliding door and back hatch perfectly! Tip: the narrow rectangular rare earth magnets are way better than the round ones because they fit on the van better, worked better because they were longer, and can be stacked in alternating directions when storing them to make pulling them apart way easier.
Van Cover
Deluxe Winnebago Eurovan Camper Cover from BusDepot.com (Non-Winnebago version click here) – this is a really great cover and totally worth the price. We got it because our van has the leaky rubber roof block problem and it rains a lot here, and to keep it clean and the bird poop off. It actually keeps it cooler inside too. It is a but bulky and confusing to get on and off, so once my husband figured it out he wrote “front,” “back,” “left side,” and “right side” on it which helped a lot. After 5 years it’s still going strong – although it has gotten a little brittle and we’ve had to duct tape a few holes, it still does its job.
I will say it’s no replacement for indoor storage. After having the van outside in this cover for 2 years the roof did start to bow/warp, which I think was due to the heat of being in the sun even with the cover on.

So, I hope that’s inspiring!
